Blade & Soul: Beluga Lagoon
There have been a lot of questions flying around on the server regarding the new changes to the weapon progression tree. If anyone has the time, a translation for the relevant tables (see link) would probably be helpful.
New/beginner-intermediate players are probably the most confused about this, since most intermediate/advanced players should be at a point where they automatically got onto the new paths after breaking their old weapons down (see below).
For now, what I can tell you is that up until a certain point during the story quests, you should be getting new weapons for free from time to time. They cannot be evolved or enhanced, but you should get them often enough that it doesn't matter. This is based on what I've read off the tables. I'd offer a full translation, but I don't really have the experience or time to do so.
The minimum level for the new weapon that can be evolved is 42, but I don't know how or where you get it. (I was already at Awakened Oathbreaker the day the patch hit, so I got my new weapon for free by breaking the old one down.) I think that it's either tagged to story quests (someone claimed they got their new weapon by finishing story quests on the server, but I don't know if he was just trolling or actually being serious), or there's some new exchange system somewhere. Translations should help, if and when they get released.
If you were past a certain point in the story quests, and/or evolved your weapon past a certain point, if it's been "retired", it should inform you of this via a green(?) icon on the bottom left of your weapon icon. Unequipping it should bring up a new option in the bottom right of the screen. Clicking on this will then show you what breaking down your old weapon will give you.
For reference, I was at Awakened Oathbreaker Dagger Stage 10, and I got an Awakened Baiyue (White Moon) Dagger Stage 1, 5 Gold Bars (can be sold for 1 Gold each), and 18 Gem Hammers. Again, all of this is in the table above, it just hasn't been translated into English yet.
